OSHO said,"Those who have been to his place have tasted Enlightenment in his spaghetti."
Osho was referring to his one-time commune cook of 25years,Sarjano.
Referring to the statement, Sarjano says,:
Take it as you like."But when it comes to his cooking ,there is only one ways he goes about it,and that's the path of meditation.
Sarjano says," I had the good fortune of being breast-fed until I was three- and- a-half years old.On top of this ,I was blessed with all my mother's love. I felt so much gratitude for my mother's food,for the simple existence of that food. I started to cook to express my gratitude,to give some food back ,beacuse it was the easiest way to make my mother happy."

Sarjano, for whom photography is a job and cooking is a meditation , wants to give some back to India.To a country that he has made his home and to the people who have enriched his life.
He says,"The greatest secret about the alchemical art of cooking is this:
It's love that is cooking."

With this in and mind and heart, Sarjano is opening the doors of his reasturant Kitchen in Vagator to everyone who wishes to learn the subtle art of Italian cooking.

The months long course is for beginners as well as professional cooks and Sarjano promises,"After this course,your market value will double."
The course,which starts on July 1, is divided into four weeks. Each week is independent to itself. That allows you to choose according to your needs. Week one you learn about all pasta;
week two is about the thousand and one sauces of Italy;
week three is for pizza,focacce,crespelle and rollone;
week four is to learn the culture and ways of italian rice,basics desserts, most eccentric sauces and secret tips.
You can also choose specific days.
Ingredients will be supplied,Sarjano quips, "Bring only a clean hand."

At the end,there will be a food exhibition of the students, an "ITALIAN FOOD FESTIVAL"
to be held at LAGUNA ANJUNA on 31 July Saturday
and on 1 of Agust, Sunday.
The cost is Rs 5,000 per week and 17,000 for the entire course.
Half price for women,because Sarjano says,"I want to encourage women,to empower them and make them more independent."

Accommodation wil be arranged for pepole who come out of town.
Ninety percent of the food will be vegetarian ,where you will learn to work with "fake" meat and local ingredients and also how to make Italian food cheaply.

Sarjano concludes, "I'm not giving dead recipes, but a living understanding of what we are cooking."
